Los cinco minutos del Espíritu Santo

El que se empeña en encontrar su fortaleza en lo exterior, se va vaciando cada vez más por dentro, y va creando una horrorosa debiclidad interior. Eso le hará experimentar
cada vez más el miedo, y la desesperación porque todo se le acaba. Al mismo tiempo, va creciendo un tremendo rechazo por todo lo que sea limite o dolor. Por eso, en realidad sufre mucho más por el miedo a la enfermedad que lo que sufriría por la enfermedad misma.
Pero el hombre lleno del Espiritu, que se deja llevar por la existencia con el impulso de vida del Espiritu Santo, está cada vez más vivo, y así pierde todo temor al desgaste y al paso del tiempo.
Cada vez experimenta una seguridad mayor, vive cada día más "gozo y paz en el Espíritu Santo" (Rom 14,17).
Por eso, el que ha ido creciendo con el poder del Espíritu Santo, cuando tiene cuarenta años no aceptaría jamás volver a los quince o a los veinte, porque no desea volver a la inseguridad, a los temores, a la fragilidad interior, a la ñ inestabilidad afectiva de los años jóvenes. Prefiere la firme vitalidad que le ha ido dando el Espiritu Santo con el paso de los años, y "en la vejez seguirá dando fruto, y estará frondoso y lleno de vida" (Sal 91,15). Cada día que pasa es crecimiento, es adquirir una nueva riqueza que lo hace feliz.
Por eso ya no le teme al paso del tiempo, al desgaste. Al contrario, el tiempo que pasa le va dejando un tesoro, y sabe que cada desafío lo hará crecer más todavía en una vida que nunca se acaba.
